Aahilyarewa Agro Farmer Producer Company Limited is our group out here in Indore, specifically in the Sindhi Baroda area. Most of us here have spent our whole lives working the land in this part of Madhya Pradesh. We didn't start this company to become big businessmen; we just wanted to have a bit more say in how our crops are sold. The name might sound a bit formal, but we are just the same people who have been farming these fields for years. We deal with the heat and the bugs and the unpredictable rains just like everyone else. Sometimes it feels like a lot of paperwork that we aren't used to, but we help each other out with it. We don't have a mission statement or anything like that. We just want to grow good crops and hopefully have enough left over to fix the roof or send the kids to a good school. It's very practical, everyday stuff. We aren't trying to change the world, just trying to make things a little more stable for the families around Sindhi Baroda. It's hard work, but we are used to that. We just take it day by day.
