Arbindo Brick Farm

Arbindo Brick Farm is located at Sapam Balahari’s place in Sapam. We are right there in the Mamang Leikai area, not too far from the Khong Jom Bazar. This is in the Thouval district. It is a family thing, really. We spend most of our days out in the yard dealing with the clay and the kilns. The weather around here can be a real hassle when it rains because the bricks won't dry right, but that is just part of the job. We have been working this land for a while now. Most of the people who work here live just down the road. It is a quiet spot for the most part, except when the trucks come in to load up. We don't have a big office or anything fancy like that. Just a small shed where we sit and keep the books. Sometimes the dust gets everywhere, especially in the dry season when the wind picks up. We just try to keep the fires going and the stacks moving out. You can see the smoke from the main road if you are looking for us. We know almost everyone in the village. It is just a normal life here, making things that people use to build their homes. We are just a local operation trying to keep things steady. Every morning we start before the sun is too high. It is hard work but it is what we do.
