M R Departmental Store

M R Departmental Store is our little shop in Naoremthong Bazaar. We’ve been here for quite some time, serving the people who live nearby. It’s a typical departmental store where we keep a bit of everything that people might need for their homes. The bazaar is a lively place, and we’re right in the middle of it. We don't have a big corporate office; our office is basically just a small desk at the back of the store, buried under some notebooks. Most of our time is spent out on the floor, helping people find things or restocking the shelves. We know many of our customers by name because they’ve been coming to us for years and years. It’s a lot of manual work, carrying boxes and making sure the displays look okay for the shoppers. Sometimes the store gets a bit messy when we have a big delivery of new stock, but we clean it up as we go. We don't do any big advertising or social media. People just know we’re here in the bazaar when they need something. We try to keep a good variety of items, from soap to snacks and everything in between. It’s a simple business. We open early in the morning and stay open until the market starts to quiet down in the evening. We don't have any big goals other than just keeping the shelves full and the customers happy. It’s just our way of making a living in Naoremthong.
