L. M. Traders

L. M. Traders is right on Khoyathong Road in Thangal Bazar. It gets really crowded here around midday. We have been in Imphal East for a good amount of time now. Most mornings start with moving things around to make space. It’s a busy spot. You see people coming in from all over the district. Some days are slower than others, but we usually have something to do. The shop isn't fancy. There’s a lot of dust from the road sometimes. We just try to keep things organized so we can find what people ask for quickly. My uncle used to say that Thangal Bazar never sleeps. It feels like that when you are trying to unload a truck and the traffic is backed up. We handle all sorts of trading items. It’s mostly just us working here, making sure the orders are correct. We drink a lot of tea while we wait for deliveries. Sometimes the power goes out, and we just sit outside for a bit. It’s a simple way of living. We know most of the regulars by name now. They stop by just to talk sometimes. It’s part of being in a place like this. We don't have a big office or anything. Just the desk and the shelves full of stock. It gets the job done and we are used to the noise by now. It’s home for us during the day.
