Periyar Spice & Ayurvedic Garden

We are located right on the Munnar Thekkady Road in Vandanmedu. It’s a busy road but the garden stays pretty quiet most days. Periyar Spice & Ayurvedic Garden isn't some giant corporation, just a place where we grow things and show people how spices actually look before they end up in a jar. Most days involve a lot of weeding and making sure the plants get enough water when the rain stops. The dirt under our fingernails is just part of the job here. We have all sorts of stuff growing, from pepper vines climbing up trees to small herbs that people use for their health. Sometimes the weather is a bit much, either too hot or too much rain, but that’s just how it goes in this part of the country. We keep the paths clear for anyone who wants to walk through and see what’s growing in the soil. It’s a lot of work keeping everything green and healthy, but we’ve been at it for a while now. Most folks stop by on their way between Munnar and Thekkady because we are right there on the main route. We don't have fancy tours, just us showing what we have in the garden. It's a simple setup really. We spend our mornings checking the leaves and our afternoons talking to whoever wanders in from the road. It's a good way to spend the day, even if the work is physical and never really ends.
