Mahalakshmi Spices

Mahalakshmi Spices is located over at 79, St Raghavan Estate in Puttady. It is a quiet enough area most of the time, which suits us just fine for the kind of work we do. We have plenty of space in the estate to keep things organized, though it always seems like more stuff is arriving than going out. The air in Puttady has a certain feel to it, especially when the weather is damp. We spend a lot of time checking the bags and making sure everything is sitting where it belongs on the shelves. It’s not the kind of place where you’ll see a lot of high-tech gadgets or shiny office furniture. We mostly have wooden tables and old scales that have seen a lot of use over the years. My hands usually smell like cardamom or pepper by the time I head home for dinner. The Raghavan Estate is tucked away a bit, so we don't get too many random people wandering in, which is probably for the best. We just focus on the spices and the daily tasks that keep the place running. Sometimes we sit outside for a few minutes when it's quiet to watch the clouds move over the hills. It is honest work and it keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday. We don’t really have a big story to tell, just a lot of spice bags and a steady rhythm to the day. We are happy to stay in our corner of the estate.
