Kerala Spices

Kerala Spices is located out in Vandiperiyar, at a place called Chittattuvadakel in Keerikkad Po. It’s a very green area, and the air always feels a bit damp because of the rain we get. Our building is simple and sits right among the trees. We handle a lot of the local produce that comes through this part of the district. Most of our day is spent moving heavy sacks around and making sure everything stays dry. Moisture is our biggest enemy here. We have a few big wooden tables where we spread things out to inspect them. It’s quiet work, mostly just the sound of the birds and the occasional truck passing by on the main road. We don't have a big sign or a fancy storefront. People who need us usually know exactly where Chittattuvadakel is. We’ve been working out of Keerikkad Po for a long time, and we’ve seen the seasons change again and again. Some days are long, especially during the harvest time when everyone is bringing in their crops. We don't use any high-tech systems for our tracking, just a big notebook and a pen. It’s worked for us so far, so we don't see much reason to change it. Working with spices is a messy business, and our clothes always end up stained, but it is honest work. We just keep our heads down and focus on the daily tasks in Vandiperiyar.
