You can find us at 19 Bypass in Kalladathur. Anakkara is a beautiful place, especially after the rains, and we’ve been operating James Spice Terivaties from this spot for a while. The bypass road is usually busy with people traveling through, and we see a lot of different faces. We handle various spices that come from the local area. It’s not a high-tech operation. Most of what we do involves a lot of hands-on work. We spend hours sorting through different lots of spices to see what’s good. The air in our building always smells like black pepper and cardamom. Sometimes the smell is so strong it makes you sneeze, but we’re used to it by now. We don't have a big marketing team or anyone to write fancy speeches. We just show up in the morning, check the weather, and start our work. If it’s too humid, we have to be extra careful with how we store things. Our neighbors are mostly other small businesses and farmers. We talk to them over the fence or at the local tea shop. It’s a very grounded way of living. We just want to do our jobs well and get the spices ready for whoever needs them. It’s a simple process, and we like keeping it that way without any unnecessary fuss or complicated rules. Life here in Anakkara moves at its own speed. We aren't in a hurry to grow too fast because we value the people we work with every day.
