Eastern Foods

Eastern Foods is located out in Eastern Valley. We use PO Box 15 because the regular mail delivery out here can be a bit spotty. Being in the valley is a nice change from the city because it is a lot quieter and there is more room to move around. We have a small processing unit and a packaging area, and you can usually tell what we are working on by the smell in the air, whether it is spices or dried grains. Our office is just a small section of the warehouse that we partitioned off with some simple boards. It is pretty basic with just a few desks and a computer that is a bit slow. Most of our day is spent out on the floor making sure the machines are running right and the packaging is done correctly. We have a few truck drivers who come by every morning to load up, and we have known them for so long that they are basically part of the team. We do not have any fancy titles or a big management structure. If a machine breaks, we try to fix it ourselves. If there is a big order, everyone chips in to get it packed. In the winter, the valley gets quite cold, so we usually start the day with a hot cup of tea to warm up our hands. It is honest, hard work, and we just focus on making sure the products are good before they head out to the shops.
