We are located up in Eastern Valley, which is a quiet part of Idukki. Being surrounded by all this greenery is nice, but it makes the logistics a bit tricky sometimes. We deal with spices and condiments, mostly things that grow around here. The air usually smells like pepper or cardamom depending on what’s being processed that day. It’s a family-run kind of atmosphere, even if we’ve grown over the years. We started small, just grinding things up and packing them. Now there’s more machinery involved, but the basics are the same. We spend a lot of time checking the harvests and making sure everything is dry enough. If the rain starts, we have to move fast. The roads around here are winding and can be slow, so we have to plan our deliveries carefully. Our workers come from the nearby villages and they know their stuff. We don't really have a fancy front office for visitors. Most of the space is taken up by the processing equipment and storage bags. It gets dusty and loud in the warehouse, but that’s the nature of the job. We just focus on getting the products out to the shops. It’s steady work and it keeps the community going. We don't use much in the way of big computers, just a few ledgers and a lot of memory. It works for us. We just want to make sure the boxes are packed right before they head out.
