Continental Spices

Continental Spices operates out of 11/297A, Padancheryil House, in the Puttady Post area. It’s more of a home-based operation than a big factory setup. We live and work in the same place, which means the business never really stops for us. My family helps out with the sorting and the packing every evening. We focus on the things that grow well in this part of the country. Puttady is a quiet place, mostly green with lots of trees and small farms. We don't have a storefront with big glass windows or fancy signs. If you want to find us, you have to look for the house number on the gate. Most of our work happens in the back where we have space to spread things out and let them dry properly in the air. We use old scales that we’ve had for years. They still work fine, so we don’t see a reason to get new ones that would just break. When the harvest comes in, the whole house is full of the smell of fresh spices. It’s a busy time and we don’t get much sleep until everything is packed away. We take the orders to the post office ourselves in the mornings. It’s a simple way to do things, and it keeps our costs down for everyone. We don't have a big name or any fancy awards. We just try to make sure that whatever we send out is exactly what we promised.
