Carmelagiri Cmi Public School & Junior College

We've been running Carmelagiri Cmi Public School & Junior College for quite some time now over in Vimala Nagar. It’s a quiet spot near Mattupetty, which is nice for the kids since it isn't too noisy. In the mornings, you can hear the buses pulling in early. We have the younger kids and the junior college students all in the same area, so it gets a bit crowded around 9 AM. The classrooms are just standard rooms, nothing fancy, but they do the job well enough for daily lessons. Some days are much busier than others, especially when exams are coming up or when there is a local festival in Idukki. Teachers here mostly live nearby and know the families well. We spend a lot of time just keeping things organized. The weather in Kerala can be tricky, so sometimes the heavy rain hits hard and we have to manage the leaks or soggy grounds. It’s just a normal school day here. We don't really do big speeches or anything like that. Most parents just drop their children off at the gate and we take it from there. The buildings have been around for a while. Sometimes the paint peels a bit on the walls, but we try to keep the place tidy. It's a lot of paperwork and making sure every student is in the right class at the right time. We just try to get through the lessons. The canteen gets pretty loud during lunch. Students are usually hanging out under the trees when it’s dry.
