Rainbow Granites

You can find us at number 21 in Maniyakaranpalayam. It is a regular street, nothing too special about it, but we’ve made our home here with all this granite. The name sounds a bit much, but we just liked it. Most days it is just us and a few workers moving pieces around. It is a lot of physical labor. You get used to the weight of the stone and the way it feels under your hands. We spend a lot of time checking the edges. If an edge is chipped, it’s no good for anyone. We see all kinds of people coming through the door. Some know exactly what they want, and others have no clue and just stare at the piles for an hour. We try to help them out without making it complicated. Maniyakaranpalayam is a decent place to work, even if the roads get a bit cramped when the big delivery trucks show up. We have to coordinate with the neighbors so we don't block their driveways for too long. It is just a small local business. We don't have a website or anything like that. We just rely on being here every morning and doing the work. The sun can be brutal in the afternoons, so we try to get the hardest cutting done early. It’s just how it goes here. We keep the slabs stacked up and wait for the next job to come in.
