Zahra Shining Stars Foundation

Our foundation is located in Hakeempet, Tolichowki, at 8-1-398/Pm/359. If you know the Tolichowki area, you know it’s always moving and there’s always something happening on the streets. We are right in the middle of all that. The office is a bit of a tight squeeze, but we make it work with what we have. We’ve got a couple of old desks and some filing cabinets that are starting to rust at the bottom. Zahra Shining Stars Foundation is basically just a few of us who wanted to have a home base for our projects. We don't have any big corporate funding or a fancy website guy. We just do the work ourselves. The traffic noise from the main road usually filters in through the windows, but we’ve gotten used to it over time. Sometimes we have to shout a bit to be heard over the honking outside. It’s an honest place. We don’t pretend to be some huge organization. We just handle the tasks that come our way and try to stay organized. If you drop by, you might find us drinking chai and looking over some old ledgers. It is not a polished environment, but it’s where we feel at home. We just keep our heads down and keep working through the daily pile of stuff. There's usually a stray cat hanging around the entrance too.
