Prachin Foundation

Prachin Foundation is situated in Srinagar Colony. It’s a pretty residential part of town, so it’s quite a bit quieter than being in a commercial hub. We have some trees around the building, which makes it nice during the hotter months. The name "Prachin" means ancient, and we do work that relates to old things, whether that’s culture or heritage or just helping out in a way that feels traditional. Our office is simple. We don’t have a big staff, so it’s usually just a couple of us handling everything. Sometimes neighbors walk by and peek in to see what we’re up to. We aren't running any big advertisements or trying to be famous. We just like the work we do. The atmosphere in Srinagar Colony is very relaxed, and we try to keep our office the same way. We have old wooden furniture and some stacks of books and papers everywhere. It’s not the most organized place in the world, but we know where everything is when we need it. We spend a lot of time researching or planning small community projects. It’s a quiet life, really. We don't have fancy mission statements on the walls. We just have a calendar and a list of things to get through. It feels like a small family more than a foundation. We’ve been in this colony for quite some time now, and we like the peace and quiet it offers us.
