Wild Leather

If you know Abids Circle, you probably know how crowded it gets near Masjid-E-Amera. Our place, Wild Leather, is right there at No. 5-8-627/2. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze getting through the crowds sometimes, especially on Fridays. We spend most of our time inside working with the materials, and the smell of leather is pretty much stuck in our clothes now. It’s a small shop, and we’ve got stuff piled up in corners because space is always an issue around here. The building is older, but it’s sturdy enough. We see a lot of people passing by every day, mostly folks heading to the market or the mosque. Sometimes it gets a bit loud with the bikes and the rickshaws right outside the door, but we just turn up the radio and keep going. We don’t have a big fancy sign or anything, just a simple spot where we handle our business. Most of our regulars know exactly where to find us. We keep a couple of chairs out front for when the sun isn't too hot, but mostly we're tucked away in the back. The neighborhood has changed a lot over the years, but we’ve stayed in this same spot. It’s a lot of hard work and long hours, but it’s what we do. Not much else to tell, really. Just a local business trying to keep up with everything and pay the bills.
