What The Work

People always ask about our name when they see the sign here in Saleem Nagar Colony. We are tucked away in Malakpet, specifically at Dno. 16-11-310/10/4/1, which can be a little hard to find if you aren't familiar with the lanes around here. What The Work is basically a small team of us trying to figure things out and get stuff done. The office has a few computers and some half-empty tea cups usually sitting around. We spend a lot of time on our chairs, typing away or arguing about how something should look. Malakpet is a crowded place, so there is always the sound of bikes and vendors outside our window. It’s not a fancy setup with a big lobby. We have some old posters on the wall and some plants that we sometimes forget to water. Most of our days are spent staring at screens or taking calls. Sometimes the power goes out and we just sit there talking until it comes back on. It feels like a real neighborhood business because we see the same people walking their dogs or going to the shops every day. We don't try to act like we are some huge company. We are just a group of people working out of Saleem Nagar, trying to keep up with everything that comes our way. It gets a bit messy sometimes with papers everywhere, but we know where everything is. It is just how we work.
