Weaid Education & Research Foundation

Weaid Education & Research Foundation operates out of 10-3-5, Flat No 208 in Mehdipatnam. It’s a lively area with lots of students and shops around. We set up here because we wanted to be close to the people we are trying to help. Our focus is mainly on education and looking into things that matter to the community, but we aren't some high-brow institution. We’re just a small group of folks who think learning is important. The flat is usually a bit cluttered with books and papers. We spend our days talking to students or helping people find the right resources for their studies. It’s not always organized perfectly, and we often run out of tea when we have visitors. Mehdipatnam is a place where people from all walks of life come together, and our office feels a bit like that too. We don’t have a big mission statement on the wall. We just show up every day and do what needs to be done. Sometimes that means helping someone with a research project or just explaining how to apply for a course. We’ve had a few ups and downs since we started, but we keep going because we see the difference it makes. It’s local, it’s simple, and it’s just how we like it. We aren't trying to change the whole world, just making things a bit better for the people who come to see us. That is our daily life here.
