Waves The School is situated in the Ayappa Society area of Madhapur. It’s a busy part of the city, and the society itself has a lot of houses and small businesses. We are just one of the buildings on the street. People who live nearby see the kids arriving every morning and leaving in the afternoon. It’s a very local kind of place. We don’t have a massive campus with fields; we make do with the space we have in Madhapur. The classrooms are filled with the usual stuff like old maps on the walls and stacks of paper on the teachers' desks. It’s often a bit messy, but that’s what happens when you have people working and learning in the same spot all day. We don’t use any corporate jargon here because it doesn't fit who we are. We are just a group of people running a school in a residential neighborhood. Some days the electricity goes out and we just open the windows and keep going. The staff is mostly focused on the practical side of things, like fixing a broken chair or organizing the next set of papers for the morning. It’s an honest way to spend the day. We know the neighbors and the local shopkeepers. It feels like we’re part of the furniture in Ayappa Society. We just show up, do the work, and hope the kids learn something useful before they head home. That is pretty much our whole day here.
