Vinayaka Kirana Shop

You can find Vinayaka Kirana Shop over in Chintalmet, right near the Musclar Master Gym. We’re in the Upparpally area of Hyderabad. It’s an interesting spot because we get a mix of people. There are the young guys from the gym coming in for water or protein biscuits, and then the older residents who just need some lentils or tea leaves for their kitchen. The shop is quite packed with stuff. I’ve got bags and boxes everywhere because the space isn't huge. I try to keep everything in order, but sometimes a delivery arrives and I just have to pile it up wherever there’s a gap. The walls could use a fresh coat of paint, and the ceiling fan makes a bit of a clicking noise, but it keeps us cool enough. I spend most of my day behind the wooden counter. It’s been there since we opened. Sometimes people stay for a few minutes to complain about the Hyderabad traffic or the price of onions. I just listen and nod. It’s a busy life, but it’s what I know. We don’t do any big advertising. People just see the sign when they are heading to the gym or walking home. It’s a practical place for the neighborhood. We don’t have anything fancy, just the things you need for your house. I usually close up once the gym gets quiet for the night. The light bulb near the door always flickers when it starts to rain.
