Vinayak Kirana Genral Store

The store is located right on F C I Road in the Surya Nagar Colony area of Mallapur. Most people just call us Vinayak Kirana Genral Store. It’s been sitting on this road for quite some time now. I spend a lot of my time behind the counter watching the traffic go by on F C I Road. Surya Nagar is a decent place to be, and the folks around here are good people who look out for each other. I try to keep a bit of everything, from soap to snacks, squeezed onto the shelves. It’s not a big corporate operation, just me and occasionally some help when things get too busy to handle alone. Some of the shelves are a bit crooked because I put them up myself years ago when I first got the keys. I remember when this colony was much smaller, but now there are houses everywhere. It makes for a busy day, which I suppose is good for business. My hands are usually dusty from moving sacks around all afternoon. I don't use any fancy computer systems for the stock; I just look at the shelves and know what is missing. Customers come in, we talk about the weather or the local news, and they go on their way. It is a simple life running a kirana shop in Mallapur. We aren't trying to be anything we aren't. If you need something for your house, we are usually here until late.
