Village Mart

We are located at No. 4-54/140 in Maqdam Nagar, right in the middle of the Jagadgiri Gutta area. It is a busy neighborhood with a lot of houses packed close together, so there is always someone walking past the door. We opened this mart because we saw that people needed a place nearby where they could grab things quickly without going too far. The shelves are packed pretty tight with everything from soaps to snacks. It gets a bit chaotic in the evenings when the street lights come on and everyone is out doing their shopping. We have to be careful with the space we have because the shop isn't as big as we might like. Sometimes I forget where I put the new stock and have to hunt through the boxes in the back. The floor is concrete and it gets cold in the winter, so we wear thick socks while we are working. We do not have a fancy computer system or anything; we just write things down and give change from a small metal box. It is a family thing, really. My nephew helps out after his classes, and we take turns minding the counter. It is just a local spot for the people living in the colony to get what they need for their homes. We keep the fans running all day in the summer to stay cool.
