Vijaya Lakshmi Kirana And General Stores

Our shop is on the ground floor of the Musunurus Building in Pragati Nagar Colony. If you live around Nizampet Road, you probably know how busy it gets. This area has grown so much lately with all the new apartments. Vijaya Lakshmi Kirana And General Stores is just a basic place for the families living in the colony to get their supplies. We have all the usual groceries piled up on the shelves. It’s a bit of a squeeze sometimes when three or four people are inside at once, especially when they have big shopping lists. We spend a lot of time moving crates around and making sure the dal and rice aren't running low. Hyderabad heat is no joke, so the shop stays a bit cooler inside the building. We don’t have a website or any of that. People just walk in because they need salt or some washing powder. We know most of the kids who come in for chocolate after school. The name on the board is a bit long, but everyone just calls us the kirana store in the building. It’s a lot of lifting and counting, and the days go by pretty fast when the evening rush starts. People are always in a hurry to get home, so we try to bag things up as quickly as we can. It’s just our daily routine in Pragati Nagar.
