Vijay Laxmi Kirana & General Stores

Our shop is at Plot No: 162 in Gangaputra Colony, which is in the Parsigutta area of Hyderabad. We are very easy to spot because we are right near the 44 bus stop. A lot of people coming and going from the bus stop pop in to grab something while they wait. We sell both kirana items and general goods, so it’s a bit of a mix. The shop is a bit old, and the walls could probably use a new coat of paint, but it works for what we need. We handle all the work ourselves, from sweeping the floor to talking to the wholesalers who come by with their trucks. Being in Parsigutta means it’s always a bit crowded and noisy, but we like the energy. We aren't a high-end store; we just stock what the local families need for their daily cooking and cleaning. Sometimes the billing takes a little longer if we are chatting with a neighbor, but people don’t seem to mind much. We’ve seen the colony change over the years, but our little corner has stayed mostly the same. We keep the store open through the day, only closing for a bit in the afternoon when it’s too hot. It is just a regular, local business trying to stay stocked and helpful for the people living in Gangaputra Colony. We try to keep prices fair so that everyone in the neighborhood can afford what they need for their homes.
