Vijay Kirana & General Stores

I run Vijay Kirana & General Stores in the Osmangunj area of Hyderabad. We are at Shop No 5-2-962. It is quite close to the Begum Bazar Police Station, so that is a good landmark if you are looking for our place. This area is incredibly busy, especially with the wholesale markets nearby. My shop is where locals come to get their daily essentials. We sell everything from different kinds of dal and rice to soap and cleaning supplies. I have been in this spot for a long time. The store is packed with stuff, and sometimes it is hard to find a place to stand when there are more than two people inside. I do not mind the chaos, though. It is what I am used to after all these years. The police station being nearby means it is a safe enough spot, even late at night. I usually have a young helper with me to pull bags down from the high shelves. We do not have a big sign or anything flashy outside. Most people just know us because we have been here forever. Sometimes we run out of certain items because the supply trucks get stuck in the narrow streets of Osmangunj. That is just part of life here. I keep a small ledger for my regular customers who pay at the end of every month. It is an old way of doing things, but it works for us. The shop is just a practical place for practical people.
