Vijay General Store

Vijay General Store is located at Kachiguda Cross Road in the Sultan Bazar-Koti area of Hyderabad. We are right near the Arya Samaj Mandir, which is a good landmark if you are looking for us. The shop stays quite busy because of the location. There is always a lot of traffic and people walking by. We have a mix of everything, from notebooks and pens to cooking oil and soaps. The shelves are packed tight because we don’t have much extra storage in the back. Sometimes it takes a minute to find exactly what a customer wants because of all the boxes. The street outside is usually torn up for some work or another, so there is often dust on the front windows. We started this shop to serve the local families and the students from the nearby colleges. It is a family-run place, so you will usually see one of us sitting at the counter. We don’t have a computer for billing, we just use a notebook and a pen. It works fine for us. In the evenings, the lights from the temple nearby make the street look nice. We keep the shutters half-down during the hottest part of the afternoon. It's just a regular neighborhood store where you can grab a cold drink or some biscuits. We try to keep the staples in stock so people don't have to go far to get their daily needs.
