Vihaan Techno Services

Vihaan Techno Services is tucked away in Kothapet. It’s a busy area and we are right in the middle of it all. Most of the day is spent looking at small parts and trying to figure out why things aren't turning on. The shop isn't very large, so it can get a bit messy with wires and tools laying around the workbench. People bring in all sorts of stuff that’s broken or acting up. We don’t have a fancy waiting room with a coffee machine. Usually, customers just stand by the counter or lean against the door while we take a look at their gear. Kothapet always has a lot of noise from the traffic outside, so you have to talk a bit louder sometimes. I’ve got drawers full of screws and spare pieces that might come in handy one day. It’s not about having a polished storefront; it’s about having the right screwdriver and a bit of patience. Sometimes a repair takes five minutes and other times it takes three days because we have to wait for a part to come in. We just write the names on a bit of tape and stick it on the side of the machine so we don't mix them up. It’s a lot of sitting under bright lights and squinting at circuit boards. When the power goes out, we just wait it out like everyone else in the neighborhood. It’s a steady way to spend the day and it keeps me out of trouble. I enjoy the quiet parts of the job most.
