Venkatramana Kirana & General Stores

Down in Parsigutta, at 11-3-603 in New Ashok Nagar, is where you’ll find my store. It’s a basic kirana shop, nothing more and nothing less. I’ve been working here for quite some time now, and I’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit. The street outside is usually full of activity, with people going to work or kids playing. I keep the store stocked with the daily essentials. We have all the basic food items and household goods that people in the area use. I don't have a huge staff, usually, it’s just me or a family member helping out. The routine is the same every day. Open up, sweep the front, check what’s low on the shelves, and wait for the first customer. Sometimes the delivery trucks have a hard time getting down the narrow streets here, which can be a bit of a headache. But we manage. The people around here are good folks. They come in for their monthly groceries or just a single item they forgot. I try to keep the stock fresh. It’s a small shop, but it serves the purpose. Sometimes it gets a bit dusty with the Hyderabad wind, so I’m always wiping down the counters. It’s just a normal part of running a business in this part of town. No big frills, just a local shop for local people who need their groceries without going too far away.
