Vegg Mandi is our little produce spot over in Mushkmahal Huda Colony, Attapur. The address is 4-9-112/1/1 Lig 137, Mushkmahal Huda Colony, Attapur, . It can be a bit tricky to find if you aren't from around here. Every morning starts very early, way before the sun comes up, getting the crates of vegetables ready. It’s a bit of a mess sometimes with all the leaves and crates stacked around the floor. We get a lot of neighbors coming in for their daily onions, tomatoes, and whatever else is fresh. The floors get swept often but there’s always a bit of mud from the vegetable bags. It’s loud, there’s usually some haggling, and it’s very local. We don't have fancy refrigerated displays; we just use what we have to keep things as fresh as possible. The scales are old but they work fine. I’ve been working with vegetables for years, and it’s a tiring job but someone has to do it. We know which families like certain types of greens and who comes in every Tuesday. It’s not a supermarket experience at all. It’s crowded and smells like earth and fresh produce. Sometimes we run out of the popular stuff by noon. We just do our best to keep the bins full and make sure the customers get what they came for that day. It’s a basic shop for basic needs in the Attapur area. We don't have a website, folks just walk in and pick through the bins.
