Running Vankata Sami Varma Cinemas here in Ngos Colony is a lot of work, but it keeps us busy. Our place at C-628 in Vansthlipuram has seen many crowds over the years. Some days the lobby is packed with people waiting for the next show, and other days it’s just us cleaning up the popcorn and sweeping the floors. We started this because we liked movies, plain and simple. It isn't a huge multiplex with twenty screens, but it’s our local spot. Sometimes the projector gives us a bit of trouble or the air conditioning needs a fix, but that’s just how it goes when you run a building like this. The people from around Hyderabad know where we are. We see the same faces every weekend. It feels good when the show starts and everyone gets quiet. We spend most of our time making sure the seats are okay and the tickets are sold right. It gets really loud during the big releases, especially with the fans cheering. We don't have a big corporate team. It’s just a few of us here every day, making sure things run. We try to keep the place decent for the families who come by. It’s a lot of long nights, especially the late shows, but when you see people leaving happy, it feels like it was worth the effort. That’s just life at the cinema for us.
