Aditya Music India Pvt. Ltd. is based at 3/5/1091/7 in Venkateshwara Colony. It is a relatively quiet neighborhood for a music business to be in, but we like it that way. We are not a giant flashy studio with neon signs. Our office is more like a regular house converted into a workspace. Inside, you will find shelves full of records and CDs, plus a few computers where we manage all the digital files. We spend a lot of our time talking to artists and distributors, mostly on the phone or through emails. It is not as glamorous as people think. There is a lot of paperwork involved in music rights and making sure everything is filed correctly. Sometimes the neighbors see musicians coming and going, but mostly it is just us doing the office work. We have been around the local music scene for quite a while now. We do not have a big PR team writing our stuff. We just know what music people like to listen to and we try to get it out there. The colony has good tea stalls nearby, which is where we usually take our breaks. It is a small team and we all do a bit of everything, from packing boxes to checking contracts. We do not pretend to be a big global conglomerate. We are just a music company in a residential colony trying to stay busy and keep the songs playing for as long as we can.
