I have my office here in Old Mallepally, right near the Jet Cafe. The address is D. No 12-1-1049. It is a familiar spot for many people who live around here. I have been working from this location for many years, doing various types of administrative work and helping people with their paperwork. The building is older, and the room isn't very large. It’s mostly just me, a desk, a couple of chairs for visitors, and a lot of files piled up. The neighborhood is always lively. You can hear the sounds from the cafe and the street all day long. People stop by not just for business, but sometimes just to say hello or ask for advice on local matters. I don't use any big signs or loud colors. My name is on the door, and that is enough. I handle my own scheduling, so sometimes I am out for a few hours and the door is locked. Life in Old Mallepally has a certain rhythm to it that I have grown used to. I don't try to make things look more important than they are. It’s a small operation, and I like it that way. Most of my work comes from people who have known me for a long time. I just take things as they come, one day at a time, sitting here in my office near the cafe. It is a quiet, steady kind of life for me.
