Tulja Sai Store

Tulja Sai Store is tucked away in Chirag Ali Lane over here in Abids. We are at Shop No.5-8-296/2/3, which is right behind those Nandanam Apartments. It is a bit of a maze back here if you don’t know the area, but the locals from Mahesh Nagar find us easily enough. Anubhava School is quite close too, so we see a lot of students and teachers during the lunch hour or after school ends. Our shop handles mostly general items that households run out of. Think of things like soap, grains, packets of biscuits, and stationery items for the kids. It’s a small space, so we have to stack things pretty high on the shelves. Sometimes finding a specific brand takes a minute, but we usually have it somewhere in the back. The street is usually narrow and can get jammed with scooters, but it stays lively. We have been here for the neighborhood mostly. People from the apartments just walk down when they forget an ingredient for dinner. It’s a handy spot for them. We don't really have a big staff, just a few of us making sure the inventory is okay. We don’t have a website or anything like that. People just know we are here. Every morning starts with cleaning the floor and checking what got sold yesterday. It’s steady work and keeps us busy. We like the quiet afternoons when the school is in session and we can organize the racks properly without much trouble or noise.
