Tulasi Bhavani Welding Works

Tulasi Bhavani Welding Works is right in the middle of Bholukpur. If you walk down the street, you can usually hear the sound of the grinders and see the sparks flying from the welding rods. It is a small shop, and the walls are darkened from all the smoke and heat over the years. We do a lot of work for the local houses, like making iron gates, window bars, and repairing broken metal frames. Bholukpur is a crowded place, so we have to work in a tight space. We keep our tools on a wooden bench that has seen better days. It is not a clean job; our clothes are always covered in soot and metal filings by the end of the day. We don't have a big sign out front, just the work sitting there for everyone to see. Sometimes we take the welding machine out to a customer's house if the job is too big to bring here. It is hard work and the summer months are especially tough because of the heat from the torch. My brother and I have been doing this since we were young. We don't use fancy computers to design things; we just draw it out on the floor with a piece of chalk. It is a practical business and we like being part of the Bholukpur community. People know they can trust us to get the metalwork done right. We just keep our heads down and work.
