V K Metals

Our yard is located at Balaji Nagar in the Gaganpahad area. The address is 7/3/123/5/A, which can be a bit of a mouthful if you’re trying to tell someone over the phone. V K Metals is pretty much what the name says—we handle metal. Whether it’s scrap, sheets, or different types of industrial bits, this is where it all ends up. The ground is usually dusty, and there’s the constant sound of metal clanging against metal as we load and unload the trucks. Gaganpahad is a bit away from the main city buzz, which is good for us because we need the space for the heavy stuff. It’s not a place for a suit and tie. Most of us are in work clothes that get dirty pretty much the moment we start the shift. We don’t have a big marketing department or a fancy mission statement posted on the wall. We just know our weights and our grades of metal. The sun can be brutal out here in the open, so we try to get the heavy lifting done early in the day. It’s a straightforward business where a person’s word and a handshake still mean something. We’ve seen the area grow quite a bit lately, but our daily grind stays pretty much the same. We just keep the metal moving and the trucks rolling. It’s simple work, but it’s what we do every single day.
