The office we work from is located at 1-10-125/83 on Mayur Marg in the Begumpet area of Hyderabad. It’s a pretty central spot, which makes it easy for the staff to get to work every morning. Begumpet can get very crowded with traffic, so we’re used to the constant noise of the city outside our windows. We’ve been in this building for a while now. It’s a mix of different desks and departments all working on various media tasks. There’s always someone running around with a notepad or a phone. It’s a bit chaotic sometimes, especially when there is a big news story or a tight deadline approaching. We don’t really have a polished corporate environment here. It feels more like a lived-in space where people are actually working. There are stacks of old newspapers and files in the corners. We drink a lot of coffee and tea to stay sharp throughout the day. The building itself is just a regular structure on Mayur Marg. We aren't into big, fancy mission statements or trying to sound more important than we really are. We just report on what’s happening and manage the daily operations of the group. It’s a lot of long hours and sometimes the air conditioning struggles with the Hyderabad heat, but we get by. Most of us have been here for years, so we know how everything works. It’s just a normal workplace with normal people trying to do their jobs as best they can.
