Working out of Vidya Nagar in Hyderabad, we handle the day-to-day stuff for ships. Our office is in Modern Towers, right in Phase-I. It is not always easy coordinating things across the ocean while sitting here in landlocked Hyderabad, but we manage. We spend a lot of time on the phone and checking emails to make sure crews are where they need to be and the vessels are in good shape. People often ask why a shipping company is based here, far from the coast. Honestly, it just works for us. We have a small team here at F-403. Most of us have been around for a while and we know the drill. It’s a lot of spreadsheets and technical reports. Sometimes the coffee machine breaks and that's usually the biggest crisis of the morning until a real one comes in from a ship. We just keep things moving. There isn't much flash to what we do. It is just steady work, keeping track of maintenance schedules and making sure the logistics don't fall apart. It gets busy during certain times of the year, but we are used to that. We just show up every morning, climb up to the fourth floor, and get back to the nautical charts and crew lists. It's a quiet office mostly, except when someone is trying to explain something over a bad satellite connection. That is just how it goes here in Vidya Nagar. We have been doing this for years now.
