The Gaudium School

The Gaudium School is located at 148 in Nanakramguda Village, within the Serilingampally Mandal. The area used to be a lot quieter, but now there is a lot of construction and new buildings going up around us. Our school is a place where we try to keep things steady despite all the changes outside. It is a big responsibility looking after so many kids every day. We have plenty of classrooms and a good amount of space for them to move around. The hallways are usually filled with the sound of footsteps and the occasional teacher telling someone to slow down. We do not use a lot of corporate talk here. We are just folks who show up to work and try to help the students understand their lessons. Some days the weather is really dusty because of the work in Nanakramguda, so we spend a lot of time cleaning the windows and desks. It is a constant battle against the dust. We have a small canteen where the smell of lunch starts drifting out around noon. It makes everyone hungry. The staff room is usually a bit of a mess with papers and half-eaten snacks, but that is just how we work. We focus on the daily stuff, like making sure the registers are marked and the homework is checked. It is a practical life here in Serilingampally Mandal, and we just keep at it, day after day.
