Surya Kirana & General Stores

Our place is located at 19-8-1 on the 1st Main Road in Attapur. It’s a busy corner of the neighborhood, and we’ve seen the area change quite a bit over the years. Surya Kirana & General Stores is a straightforward shop. We don't have fancy decorations or anything like that. We just focus on keeping the essentials in stock. Attapur has grown so much that there are always new people moving in, but we still have our regulars who have been coming here since we first opened the doors. The morning starts with the milk delivery, and then it’s a steady stream of people looking for tea powder, sugar, or maybe some soap. We spend the afternoon restacking the shelves and making sure nothing is out of place, though it’s hard to keep it perfectly neat when you’re dealing with so many different items. The heat can get a bit much in the summer, and the overhead light flickers sometimes, but we just get on with it. It’s a lot of physical work, lifting crates and moving jars around. We know the local bus timings by the sound of them passing by on the main road. It’s a simple, honest way to earn a living. We just try to be there when the neighbors need something for their dinner or their house. It’s just us, the shop, and the daily routine of the street that keeps us going every day.
