Suraksha Hospital

Kompally has changed a lot lately with all the new construction, but our hospital is still in the same spot. It’s a plain building with a couple of levels. We have rooms for patients to stay in, though they aren't very big. The hallways are narrow and we have to be careful when moving the equipment around. It’s a busy place, especially in the mornings when the shifts change. We see a lot of people from the new apartment complexes that have popped up around here. They come in for all kinds of reasons, from small accidents to fevers. The parking area out front is just a bit of open ground with some gravel, and it can get quite messy when it rains. We have a small staff and we all know each other’s names. It’s not the kind of place with a big lobby or a fancy reception desk. There is a small counter where we keep the records and a telephone that rings quite a lot. The walls could use a fresh coat of paint, but we haven't gotten around to it yet. We just focus on the people who walk through the door. You can hear the noise from the main road all day long, mostly the trucks passing by. It’s just a normal part of working in Kompally these days. We keep things running as best as we can, day and night. It’s hard work, but it’s what we do here.
