Our factory is located at Plot No 1358 in Apuroopa Township. We’re right opposite JNTU in the Pragati Nagar area of Kukatpally. It’s a pretty industrial spot, which suits the kind of work we do with steel. The noise of metal being cut or welded is something we’ve gotten used to over the years. It’s a private limited company on paper, but on the ground, it’s just a lot of sweat and heavy lifting. We don’t have a posh office with carpets. Most of the space is taken up by machines and raw steel waiting to be processed. The sun can get really hot on the roof of the shed, but we keep the fans going and stay focused on the tasks. We deal with various steel works, mostly the practical stuff people need for building things. There’s no big sales pitch here. Usually we just look at the drawings or the requirements and get to work. Pragati Nagar has become very busy, so getting trucks in and out can be a bit of a challenge sometimes. We’ve been here long enough that the local tea stall knows our order by heart. It’s a simple life of managing materials and making sure the machines don’t break down. We just do what we do and try to get home on time.
