STEELISH MODULAR PRIVATE LIMITED

Steelish Modular Private Limited is over at Plot No. 32, which is also number 75, in Kakaguda Surya Nagar. Most people just know it as the Karkhana area. We work out of a space that's half office and half workshop. As the name suggests, we do modular work, mostly involving steel components. It’s a lot of assembly and making sure parts fit together like they’re supposed to. The floors are usually covered in metal shavings or bits of packing material. We aren't the type to have a polished showroom. If you want to see what we do, you just look at the projects we’re currently putting together on the floor. The team here is a mix of designers and people who are good with their hands. We talk a lot about dimensions and tolerances. It can be stressful when a piece doesn't fit right, but we usually figure it out. The neighborhood is fairly busy, so there’s always something going on outside. We keep the doors open for the breeze when it’s not too hot. We don't have a fancy mission statement or anything like that. We just want to make sure the steel structures we send out are solid and do what they’re meant to do. It’s a practical way to earn a living, and it keeps us busy from morning until late evening most days. There is always something that needs fixing or welding.
