Star Steels Company is our family-run spot at Plot No. 12-12-85/E on Padi Street in Islampet. It’s a bit of a hidden location if you don’t know the side streets. We handle different types of steel products. It’s mostly just a few of us working here. The building is older, but it serves our purpose well enough. We keep the inventory stacked in the main bay. It can get a bit disorganized when a new shipment comes in. We spend a lot of time checking the weights and making sure the counts are right. It’s important because small mistakes add up. Padi Street is usually quite busy with people moving around. We have some regulars who have been buying from us for years. They just pull up and we load them up. We don’t have a big sign out front, just the address on the door. It’s a simple way of doing business. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there. We just want to provide what people need for their construction or repair jobs. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait a bit to use the scales. We just take it as it comes. It’s a quiet life for the most part, just steady work and local customers.
