Star Hospitals

Star Hospitals is located at 8-2-596/5, right on Road. No. 10 in the Banjara Hills area. It’s a big neighborhood with a lot of traffic. If you are coming from the main road, you have to watch for the turn-off. The building itself is pretty easy to spot once you are on Road 10. We have a small security booth at the entrance where a guy sits and watches the cars come in. He’s been there forever and knows everyone’s face. Inside, the hospital has a bit of a hum to it. There is the sound of the air conditioning and the nurses talking at the stations. We have a big desk where you check in. The person sitting there usually has a stack of forms they are working through. The walls are mostly bare, except for some signs telling you which way the bathrooms are. It’s a practical setup. We have some plants in the corners that the cleaning staff waters every morning. The windows look out onto the other buildings in Banjara Hills. You can see the rooftops and the laundry hanging out to dry sometimes. It’s not a quiet place, but it feels productive. We start the day early and the lights don’t go off until very late. Most of the people working here have been part of the neighborhood for a long time. It’s just our regular spot where we spend most of our waking hours.
