You can find Sri Venkataramana General Stores at 12-14-217 in Vinoba Nagar. We are located in the Lalapet area, which is a fairly busy residential neighborhood. The store is basically a one-room setup filled with all sorts of daily items. We have bags of rice, lentils, and shelves lined with different household goods. It gets pretty cramped in here sometimes when we get a new delivery. People from around Vinoba Nagar come in all day long, especially in the mornings and evenings. We know most of the faces. The counter is where we spend most of our time, measuring out goods and talking to the customers. It’s a lot of manual work, lifting heavy sacks and keeping everything in order. Lalapet can be quite noisy with the traffic and the people walking around, but inside the store, it’s just the usual business. We don't have any big advertisements or anything like that. People just know we are here. Sometimes the kids come in for small candies or snacks after school. It’s a basic neighborhood shop. We try to keep things reasonably priced for the people who live nearby. There isn't much of a staff, just a couple of us who take turns being at the front.
