Sri Laxmi Narasimha Kirana & General Store is situated right opposite the Skylab Hotel in Bholakpur. Our address is 1-4-586/120, and it’s a spot that stays pretty lively throughout the day. Musheerabad is a crowded area, and being right across from a hotel means we see a lot of different people. Most of our regulars are the families living in the nearby lanes who come in for their daily rice, lentils, and cooking oil. The shop is filled with the smell of spices and the sound of the ceiling fan. It’s a lot of work keeping everything organized, and sometimes the floor gets a bit dusty from the street outside, but that’s just part of the job. We don’t go for any modern store designs; it’s just the same wooden shelves and glass jars we’ve always used. We try to keep things simple and honest. If a bag of sugar breaks or a delivery is short, we just deal with it and move on. It’s a typical Hyderabad kirana store where you can hear the traffic and the voices of people haggling nearby. We aren't trying to be anything we're not. We just open the shutters in the morning and do our best to serve whoever walks in. It’s hard work, but it’s our life. We know the price of every item by heart and don't need much else.
