Sri Jagadamba Kirana & General Stores

Our shop has a bit of a long number, Shop No. 8-3-228/1280/434, but most people just know us as the store near the Sai Baba Temple in Jawahar Nagar. Being so close to the temple means we get a lot of devotees coming by, especially on Thursdays. We sell a variety of kirana items and general goods. It is a family-run kind of place where things are done the old-fashioned way. We have big jars of pulses and grains, and we spend a lot of time weighing things out for customers. Jawahar Nagar is a crowded area, but that just means there is always someone to talk to. The morning bells from the temple are our signal to start the day and get the shop ready. We don't have any fancy displays or bright lights, just the usual racks and shelves filled with daily necessities. Sometimes it’s hard to keep track of all the different brands of spices or soaps, but we do our best. People come here because they know us and they know we’ve been here for years. It’s not just a business for us; it’s our life. We’ve seen kids grow up and start coming to the shop on their own to buy things for their mothers. That’s the kind of place this is, just a simple neighborhood store in the heart of the community.
