Sri Dadu Dayal Kirana & General Store

I run this general store in Uppal, Hyderabad. It’s situated at Shop No 1. It is a straightforward kind of place. I grew up around here and decided to open a shop to serve the local people. We have the usual things like grains, spices, soaps, and cold drinks. The shop isn't very large, but I try to keep it well-stocked. Uppal is a busy area, especially with the metro and all the commuters. I see a lot of people just passing through on their way to work. I spend my day sitting behind the counter, watching the street and waiting for customers. Sometimes I listen to the radio when it’s slow. I don't have any staff, so I do everything from unloading the tempo to cleaning the front step. It’s hard work, especially in the summer heat, but it’s my own business. I don't use any fancy software for my accounts; I just write everything down in my book at the end of the day. If a neighbor needs something late at night, I usually stay open a bit longer. It’s just how things are done here. No big corporate rules, just me trying to make a living and helping out the folks in the area. The building is a bit old, but it stays cool inside.
