Sri Balaji Saree Centre Steel Palace & Pooja Samagri

Our place is at Allwyn Colony, right near the Indra Reddy Statue in Miyapur. It’s a bit of a mix here because we have Sri Balaji Saree Centre and the Steel Palace and Pooja Samagri all in one spot. It makes for a lot of different things to look after. One side of the shop has all the bright sarees folded up on the shelves, and the other side has the stainless steel pots and items for prayer. It gets quite busy, especially during festival seasons when everyone is looking for brass lamps or something new to wear for the holidays. Being at Plot No: 8-222/A means we see a lot of people passing by the statue. It's a landmark for us. The shop floor is always covered with different items depending on what came in that morning. Sometimes we are rearranging the steel buckets and other times we are helping someone pick out a saree. It’s a lot of work keeping track of everything, but we’ve gotten used to the pace over time. We don’t really do big advertisements or anything like that. Most people just walk in because they are in the colony or heading toward the main road. The lights in the shop stay on until late evening. It’s just us here, making sure the shelves stay stocked and the floor is swept before we head home for the night. We like being a part of the daily life in Allwyn Colony.
