Our shop, Sri Baabanna Kirana General, sits at 1-3-447/1/1 on the Main Road in Kavadiguda. Being in Hyderabad, it’s a lively spot to be in most of the time. We deal with all kinds of kirana items, the stuff people use every single day in their kitchens and homes. It’s not a large supermarket, just a local kirana store where you can get your pulses, spices, and other essential groceries. The address is easy to remember if you’re from around here and know the main road. We’ve seen the neighborhood change a lot over the years, but our shop stays pretty much the same as it always was. We have shelves lining every wall and sometimes we have to use an old stool to reach the items on the top ones. The 500080 area is our home and where we spend most of our waking hours. We don't go for big advertisements or any promotional stuff. Most of our customers come because they live nearby or they’ve been coming here since they were kids with their parents. It’s a lot of work keeping everything in stock and ordered, and sometimes we run out of things faster than we can get them back. We just try to keep the basics available for everyone who walks in. It’s a modest place with a lot of character, mostly because of the local people who stop by for a quick chat while they do their daily shopping. It's just how a neighborhood store should be.
